DELAWARE

Delaware will elect a U.S. Senator in 2018.

Primary Election voter registration deadline – August 18, 2018

Primary Election date – September 11, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – October 13, 2018

General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person –

Voters may vote early in person if they have a valid excuse.  Reasons for early in-person voting include: illness or disability; work prevents you from going to the polls on election day; you will be on vacation on election day; or religious tenets prevent you from going to the polls on  election day.

For date and time information for early in-person voting, voters should contact their local County Department of Elections. Contact information for County Department of Elections offices is available at http://elections.delaware.gov/locations.shtml.

Early voting ends at noon on the Monday before the election.

By mail –

Voters may vote early by mail if they have a valid excuse (see “In person” voting above for valid excuses).  To vote absentee/by mail, voters must submit an Affidavit for Absentee Voting.  Absentee ballots will be mailed out usually 45 days prior to a General Election.

All absentee ballots must be received no later than the close of polls on Election Day.
