MARYLAND

Maryland will elect a Governor and a U.S. Senator in 2018.

Primary Election voter registration deadline – June 5, 2018
Primary Election date – June 26, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – Postmarked by October 16, 2018
General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person –

Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse required.  

Early in-person voting will be available for the Primary Election between June 14 and June 21, 2018; for the General Election between October 25 and November 1, 2018.

By mail –

Any voter may vote early by mail, no excuse required. 

Mailed applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots for the Primary Election must be received by June 19, 2018 if you want to receive your ballot by mail; by June 22, 2018 if you want to download your ballot from the state’s website.

Mailed applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots for the General Election must be received by October 30, 2018 if you want to receive your ballot by mail; by November 2, 2018 if you want to download your ballot from the state’s website.

Absentee ballots must be received by the local election board by the close of polls on Election Day.
