Minnesota will elect a Governor and a U.S. Senator in 2018

Primary Election voter registration deadline – July 24, 2018 by mail or online; in person at the polls on Election Day

General Election voter registration deadline – October 16, 2018 by mail or online; in person at the polls on Election Day

Early voting –

           In person –  All voters may vote early in person, no excuse necessary.

Early in-person voting is available between June 29 and August 13, 2018 for the Primary Election; between September 21 and November 5, 2018 for the General Election.  Voting will take place Monday through Friday during business hours; from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Saturday before the election.

By mail –  All voters may vote early by mail, no excuse necessary.

There is no specific deadline by which absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be requested, but voters should act early enough so that ballots are received no later than Election Day.
