NEW MEXICO

New Mexico will elect a Governor and a U.S. Senator in 2018

Primary Election voter registration deadline – May 8, 2018
Primary Election date – June 5, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – October 9, 2018 
General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person – Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse required.  

Early in-person voting is available during regular business hours at County Clerk’s offices 28 days before an election (starting May 8 for the Primary; October 9 for the General Election).  Voters should call their County Clerk’s office (http://www.sos.state.nm.us/Voter_Information/County_Clerk_Information.aspx) for any additional early voting locations or times.

By mail – Any voter may vote early by mail.  Absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may
be requested no later than June 1 for the Primary Election; November 2 for the General Election.

All absentee ballots must be received by election officials by the close of 
polls on Election Day.
