NORTH DAKOTA

North Dakota will elect a U.S. Senator in 2018.

Primary Election voter registration deadline – None.  North Dakota does not register voters.

Primary Election date – June 12, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – None.  North Dakota does not register voters.

General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person –  Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse required.  Early in-person voting of an absentee ballot is available for the Primary Election between May 3 and June 11, 2018; for the General Election between September 27 and November 5, 2018. 

Contact your County Auditor (https://vip.sos.nd.gov/CountyAuditors.aspx)  for information on locations for early in-person voting.

By mail –  Any voter may vote early by mail, no excuse required.  There is no specified deadline for applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots. Absentee ballots are available on May 3, 2018 for the Primary Election and on September 27, 2018 for the General Election.

Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked no later than June 11, 2018 for the Primary; November 5 for the General Election.
