OREGON

Oregon will elect a Governor in 2018.

Primary Election voter registration deadline – April 24, 2018
Primary Election date – May 15, 2018

General Election voter registration deadline – October 16, 2018
General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting – All voting in Oregon is done by mail.  Ballots will be mailed to voters
automatically 14 to 18 days before an election.

If a voter wants to vote earlier, he or she may request an absentee ballot up to 45 days before an election.  All ballots must be received at the county election office or designated County Drop Box by the closing of polls on Election Day.

It’s recommended that a ballot be returned to a County Drop Box instead of using
the mail if the ballot is being returned within seven days before the election.  Drop Box locations may be found at http://sos.oregon.gov/voting/Pages/drop-box-locator.aspx.
