WEST VIRGINIA

West Virginia will elect a U.S. Senator in 2018.

General Election voter registration deadline – October 16, 2018

General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person –  Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse necessary. 

Early in-person voting is available for the General Election between October 24 and November 3, 2018. 

For information on early in-person voting locations and times, contact your County Clerk (http://www.sos.wv.gov/elections/VoterRegistration/Pages/ClerkDirectory.aspx)

By mail – Voting by mail is permitted only if you have a valid excuse such as that you will be away from your county of residence on Election Day and through all of the early voting period or you have health problems or a physical disability.

Requests for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may be made between August 14 and October 31, 2018 for the General Election. 

Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted.
