Early Voting in TENNESSEE

In person - Any registered voter may vote early in the Presidential Primary between January 16 and January 31, in the State Primary between July 18 and August 2, and in the General Election between October 15 and October 30.  The voter should contact his County Election Commission for early voting locations and times. Contact information for County Election Commissions is available at  http://tnsos.org/elections/election_commissions.php.

By mail - A registered voter may vote early by mail if he meets one of several requirements, among which are that he will be absent from his county of residence during the early voting period and on Election Day, is over 65 years of age, is physically disabled, or is a full time student living away from home. Instructions for requesting an application for an absentee ballot are available at http://www.state.tn.us/sos/election/bymail.htm#3.  A County Election Commission must receive a request for an absentee ballot no later than seven days before the election.
