I Regret My Abortion because I realized that
20 years after the abortion a piece of my soul had been missing and, even
though I know that I have been forgiven through God’s love for me of the
decision I made 30 years ago to end the life of my baby girl Rachel Grace, it
still to this day does not make it RIGHT. It does not make it JUSTIFIABLE. It does not make it EXCUSABLE. And it does
not make it okay to think the conception of this child is HERE AND GONE! Like
those that we love dearly who live life beyond an unborn child’s life, they are
in our hearts even after their death. So does the memory of a child that was
not given a chance to live after their conception. I believe this true for every
mother who has conceived a child through abortion or miscarriage.
In the Bible, the 1st book of John tells
us: “For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving
for everything that we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from
That is why I thought at 23 years of age that
an abortion was the answer to achieving and possessing the physical things
that, later on, I realized made me empty.
And I regretted my abortion because I missed the chance to love and care
for a little being like my little Rachel Grace. She was taken from me as I
didn’t stop the abortion to from taking place, nor did anyone at all ask me,
“Why are you doing this? Don’t you know
you will never forget it and it will have a tremendous impact on the life you
live after this abortion?”
It’s been 30 years now since that abortion
took place and, because of God’s Grade through my Parish ACTS retreat in 2008
and attending a post abortive bible study called Abortion Hurts God Heals in
2016, I have experienced healing and restoration from this grave sin! I have
this Mission to tell other women that there is so much hope and support for you
and your family if you will step out not in fear but in Faith! My 3 young adult
children know now about their step sister Rachel Grace, because I do not want
them to be in the dark about how an abortion can separate you from those you
love. I am beyond blessed to have their love and support.
And this is why I regret my Abortion but am
here to tell you women and men All Good Will Prevail!
