Left with Regrets

Massachusetts,  United States
I had an abortion because I live with my parents and I go to school. When my parents found out they said there was no way I could live in their house pregnant. I felt very hurt by their words because eventually I would have gotten my own place until I saved enough money. I don’t think they understood how much they hurt me. I found forgiveness through therapy, and different memories of the child. Before the abortion in the hospital, I was crying and didn’t want to go through with it, but then they gave me drugs to relax me and brought me into the operating room. I regret not putting my foot down and saying I don’t want to anymore and leaving. I felt very empty after the abortion. I wish I didn’t have to do it.
