Atlanta, GA – Timed to coincide with the 53rd anniversary of Rev. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Priests for Life’s African-American Outreach is launching a new website, logo, mascot and name – Civil Rights for the Unborn (CRU) – for the ministry led by MLK’s niece.

“We interrupt our announcement of unveiling our new “Civil Rights for the Unborn” website to report more death from another Planned Parenthood abortion, says Evangelist Alveda King.

“Mounting grief over yet more abortion deaths – this time of Michigan mother Cree Erwin and baby – overshadows our news. Black leaders and prolife leaders at large are outraged and grieved that yet another young beautiful Black woman and her baby have recently succumbed to painful deaths following an abortion at a Planned Parenthood facility,” explains King.

In the aftermath of Ms. Erwin’s abortion death, one of many in America, Pastor Clennard Childress, cofounder of L.E.A.R.N. says: “Black Life Matters has [recently] teamed up with the most destructive racist machine in American history; its founder, Margaret Sanger was the most devout racist of her time! The leading killer of innocent unarmed African Americans in the womb – whose hands were up, but given no choice or chance at the American Dream their fellow African American, Dr. Martin Luther King preached about – is Planned Parenthood!

“It breaks my heart that when a young man is gunned down by a [police officer], the media runs with it like wildfire. Yet, if an abortionist kills a young black woman and baby, the silence is tragic,” adds Dr. Johnny Hunter, cofounder of L.E.A.R.N.

“My uncle didn’t live to experience the horrors of legal abortion, which includes death to babies and harm to women. Today he would have fought just as hard to secure the rights of unborn Americans as he fought for racial justice for Blacks.

“Americans and all people are not racially divided biologically or spiritually, but are rather ‘one blood/one race.’ [Acts 17:26] At CRU we seek to end abortion genocide and educate and unite the human family around the sanctity of life.

“We can reflect our support for life by praying, participating in the prolife movement, and voting prolife,” King urged.

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, concludes: “No other civil rights issue of our day is more important than securing the right to life for the human beings still in their mothers’ wombs.”

Sweet Victory for Mothers, Babies and Civil Rights Pro-Life Warriors Everywhere as Killing Center in Wisconsin Closes Its Doors

Thursday, August 25th, 2016

Planned Parenthood says “Black Lives Matter.” At Civil Rights for the Unborn, we know that God loves everyone, and Acts 17:26 teaches us that there is only one race, the human race.

Deuteronomy 30:19 teaches us to choose life so that we and our families can live.

If America, and indeed the whole world are to live and prosper, we must stop killing our children.

Our hats go off and our hearts go out to the valiant civil rights prolife warriors who have fought so long to close abortion killing centers. As the natural and spiritual storms rage in Wisconsin, America and around the world, here are two encouraging reports.

and

“It breaks my heart that when a young man is gunned down by a cop the media runs with it like wildfire. Yet, if an abortionist kills a young black women, the silence itself is tragic. Since the average black does not know, there is no outcry.” Dr. Johnny Hunter

Pray with us, for America, the world; for respect for the sanctity of life in the womb, in every circumstance of life, and until natural death. Pray for brotherly and sisterly love, nonviolence and God’s grace.

Prayers Answered with Closing of Famed Wisconsin Abortion Clinic

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016

Longtime pro-life activists Rev. Norm Stone, Jerry Horn, Joe Scheidler and Father Frank Pavone today reacted to news of the permanent closing of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The abortion facility, located in the town of Grand Chute, has been a hotbed of pro-life street activism for over three decades, and at one time was reputed to be the largest and busiest freestanding abortion clinic in Wisconsin, serving the tri-state area of Wisconsin, Michigan and western Minnesota. Its closing marks a significant victory for local and national prolife groups.

“This is what I have prayed about night and day,” said Horn, a senior advisor to Priests for Life.

Horn explained that his pro-life activism began in the early 1980s when he was on a retreat with his wife, Bonnie, their pastor, Rev. Norm Stone, and his wife, Judy. Following training in pro-life activism by movement veterans Joe and Ann Scheidler, founders of the Pro-Life Action League, Pastor Stone’s church purchased the house next to the Appleton abortion business – then named the Fox Valley Reproductive Healthcare Center – and Horn and his wife moved in with their children.

“Planned Parenthood is blaming the closing on its inability to adequately ‘protect’ its staff and clients from pro-lifers, but that’s just a cover story, and not a very convincing one,” Horn said. “This business is closing because the darkness of abortion has been exposed. That’s what Pastor Stone and his wife and my wife and I started doing 33 years ago, and which the faithful and constant local and state leaders and individuals have been doing since then. They are the real heroes today.”

Pastor Stone, reached in Montana as he completed his 2,700th mile in an 8,000-mile walk for life called Circling the Nation, said the abortion business closing represented “a real victory for the pro-lifers who stayed on the battle lines all these years.”

Scheidler, who was having lunch with his wife, Ann, their daughter Sarah Worthington and Horn in Chicago yesterday as they learned of the closing, said: “We’re just delighted that the Appleton clinic is finally closed. The fact that I was with Ann and Jerry when we heard the news gave us all reason to celebrate.

“Abortion businesses are closing all over the country because of the dedication of pro-lifers willing to brave ridicule and worse by standing outside in prayer and protest,” said Father Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “The abortion industry is in a state of collapse. We will see to it that more and more of these centers close.”

A press conference that will bring together national pro-life leaders is being planned for the near future. Horn said the conference would focus on the work of Wisconsin activists who have worked for decades to close the Appleton abortion facility, as well as the trend of these free-standing abortion businesses closing nationwide.

Fr. Pavone Confident Panel on Infant Lives Will Uncover Violations of Federal Law on Sale of Baby Parts

NEW YORK – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today thanked the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives for its work, as it holds another public hearing today to investigate the abortion industry’s gruesome practices.

“Former federal prosecutors will testify at today’s House hearing on the pricing of fetal tissue that there is probable cause to believe that abortion businesses have violated federal law,” stated Fr. Pavone. “We know that they have been violating the law for decades; the panel’s work will confirm this.”

Former U.S. Attorney Michael Norton will tell House Select Investigative Panel members that they should conduct “an aggressive investigation” into the pricing of aborted baby body parts for research. Former federal prosecutor Brian Lennon will state that “a competent, ethical federal prosecutor” could establish probable cause that violations of federal law have occurred in abortion clinics.

“Unfortunately, the Democratic members of this panel will be of no help in getting to the truth,” added Fr. Pavone. “Democratic leadership in the House is in bed with the abortion industry, is completely blind to its immoral and illegal activities, and in fact has criticized the work of this Select Panel from the outset. Despite their obstruction and opposition, however, I am confident that the Republican majority will get the job done.”

Fr. Pavone Commends Wisconsin Gov. Scott , Legislature for Reducing Public Funding for Planned Parenthood

NEW YORK – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today commended Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker for signing into law two bills that will dramatically reduce public funding for Planned Parenthood.

“It’s interesting that limiting Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid reimbursement for dispensing contraceptives to the actual cost of the drugs, as one of these new Wisconsin laws will do, will save the public $4.5 million dollars,” states Fr. Pavone. “With overbilling like that by just one state affiliate, it’s no wonder that the nation’s biggest abortion business turns a profit year after year.”

Gov. Walker appeared at a pro-life pregnancy resource center today to sign two new state measures. One will limit Planned Parenthood’s reimbursement from the government for birth control drugs and devices to their actual cost. The second will redirect family planning funds to organizations that do not perform abortions, such as state, county, and local health departments. Combined, the two laws will prevent about $8 million in public funds from going to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.

“Gov. Walker and the Wisconsin legislature know what it means to serve the public,” added Fr. Pavone. “With these two bills, they simultaneously protect our most vulnerable, protect the right of conscience, and guard the public pocketbook.”

NEW YORK — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement regarding Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit against the Center for Medical Progress.

“Like the Center for Medical Progress, I welcome this lawsuit. When all the facts are known about Planned Parenthood and its harvesting of the limbs and organs of pre-born children, Americans will realize the depths of corruption that reach to the highest levels of the nation’s largest abortion business.

“Planned Parenthood also has more exposure to look forward to, because I am working with Life Dynamics to bring leaders together next month to plan more infiltration and undercover activity within the abortion industry.”

Statement From Fr. Frank Regarding Shooting in Colorado Springs

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015

PriestsForLife

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: December 2, 2015

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement today:

The senseless and universally denounced shootings that took place in Colorado Springs on Friday have brought a number of inquiries to me and other pro-life leaders regarding whether we intend to soften our language or modify our actions regarding Planned Parenthood and abortion generally.

In short, the answer is “No.” In fact, we will intensify both our language and our protests.

We neither participate in nor condone violence. Our messages and our protests did not start because of irresponsible and deranged perpetrators of violence, nor will they change or cease because of such people.

Planned Parenthood — and the abortion industry generally — are dismembering and decapitating little children on a daily basis, and for a profit. We describe abortion that way because that is how medical textbooks describe it. “A long curved Mayo scissors may be necessary to decapitate and dismember the fetus,” Dr. Warren Hern explains in Abortion Practice, p. 154. The US Supreme Court, moreover, has described abortion procedures in detail. “The doctor grips a fetal part with the forceps and pulls it back through the cervix… The friction causes the fetus to tear apart. For example, a leg might be ripped off the fetus as it is pulled through the cervix and out of the woman. The process of evacuating the fetus piece by piece continues until it has been completely removed.” (US Supreme Court, Gonzales vs. Carhart, April 18, 2007, describing the D&E procedure).

If these things were not true, there would be no justification to say them; but since they are true, there is no justification for keeping silent.

As I explained in my column yesterday on FoxNews.com, our language reveals these horrors and opposes them, but the language of the abortion industry not only admits these realities but justifies them. That’s the kind of language that does damage to the moral framework of our society.

If people hear these things and are comfortable with them, they can act and vote accordingly. If, on the other hand, they think these practices should stop, they can work in legal and peaceful ways with us and the entire the pro-life movement to educate the public and change public policy.

In the coming months, we will intensify our multi-pronged Expose Abortion effort (www.ExposeAbortion.com), using the words of abortionists themselves, the photos and videos of abortion, and the corruption of the abortion industry to awaken the public to this violence. The strategies we will employ, and the principles on which they rest, are explained at length in my new book, Abolishing Abortion, released this summer by Thomas Nelson publishers (www.AbolishingAbortion.com).

Likewise, on Thursday, January 21, starting at 9am, we will hold a national prayer rally and protest against Planned Parenthood at its newest Washington DC location (1225 4th St. NE). Many of our fellow citizens will already be in Washington for the annual March for Life the following day, and we urge them to join us for Thursday’s protest, and for a National Prayer Service on Friday morning at 8:30am at Constitution Hall (1776 D St., NW (18th and D St).

Planned Parenthood and the entire abortion industry are committing crimes against humanity. We thank the Republican members of the Select Panel on Infant Lives for the work that they are committed to do to bring to light the facts that support this assertion, and we at Priests for Life will work hard to support their work and inform the public about it. As for the Democratic members of the panel, we will oppose their efforts to distort, dilute and deflect the meaning and purpose of the panel, and will steadfastly oppose their efforts to keep America’s holocaust going strong.
