Urge your pastors to take part in a life-saving effort
May 1, 2019
I am asking you for a special favor to help Priests for Life save our unborn brothers and sisters.
Since 2017, Priests for Life has worked with Heartbeat International and Good Counsel to urge pastors – of all denominations – to place information permanently in their church bulletins and on their websites on alternatives to abortion and healing after abortion. It’s easy, it’s free and it will take just minutes to accomplish. And lives will be saved.
For example, one very comprehensive resource is Heartbeat’s OptionLine.org, or its 24-hour emergency helpline 800-712-HELP (4357) where callers are connected to the help available close to where they live. Confidential guidance is offered in English and in Spanish, and many of these centers also have healing programs for those hurting from abortion.
This vital information, easily accessible at every parish in the U.S., will do two things: It will reach directly many who need this help, and it will also equip everyone in the parish with this life-saving info so that they will be ready to help others.
And it will show people the true face of the Church and the pro-life movement, not as an effort to point fingers of condemnation, but rather to extend hands of help and hope.
Saving a life from abortion and a heart from despair can be as easy as memorizing a phone number and a website. All of us can do this much, but I am asking you to go one step further:
Please bring this information to your pastor, and then report back to us about how you fared.
Besides the two organizations that have joined with Priests for Life to sponsor this effort, numerous other prolife groups have expressed their support, including the Diocese of Colorado Springs, LifeNews.com, Human Life Alliance, Operation Rescue, the National Black ProLife Union, and many others. We are all in this fight together, and I am confident this effort will save babies.
So please click here to find out what to do and to let us know you will help us with this project.
