Wisconsin residents! Please ask Sen. Baldwin why she did not vote to Protect Children from Painful Late-Term Abortions

July 16, 2018

Dear Friends,

I need you to help me ask one of your U.S. senators, Tammy Baldwin, a question, and the question is this:

Why did she not show up to vote regarding the protection of babies from painful, late-term abortions?

Back in January, when the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act was on the Senate floor, she was “not present” when members voted to end the filibuster. Sixty votes were needed to bring the bill to the floor for a vote, but only 51 senators, including Sen. Ron Johnson, voted yes. Babies continue to suffer the excruciating agony of late-term abortion as a result of the Senate’s failure to enact this bill, which President Trump is willing to sign.

Now we know that Senator Baldwin has a pro-abortion voting record. For instance,

  • Planned Parenthood Action Fund rates her voting record over the last six years at 100 percent, while National Right to Life rates her lifetime voting record at 0 percent.
  • She co-sponsors S. 510, the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would require all states to allow abortion through all nine months of pregnancy for reasons of health, including mental health.
  • She voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in 2015. This act is designed to protect babies in the womb from painful second or third-trimester abortion.

So apparently, Sen. Baldwin is OK with babies being dismembered in the womb.

But if she is, she should say so. And if she’s not, she should say that too.

Yet when the matter came up for a vote, she did not say either yes or no.

Let’s ask her why.

In this alert, I am asking every Wisconsin resident to call one of the senator’s offices to ask why she decided to sit out this very important vote. We’ve asked her ourselves and we can’t get a straight answer. If thousands of her constituents want to know her reasoning, she might finally formulate an answer to explain her mysterious abstention.

Please act today, and please pass along this email to as many others you know who may be interested.

And thank you for being part of the Priests for Life Family!
