Expose and Challenge House Democrats: Why Can’t You Protect Children Born Alive??!!
Support House Republicans working to get a vote on Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act!
February 21, 2019
Something incredible is unfolding day by day in the US House of Representatives:
Democrats Are Refusing To Protect Born-Alive Children!
I need you to join me in exposing and challenging them, and in encouraging the House Republicans who are making every effort to protect these children!
Beginning Feb. 6 and on every day the House of Representatives has been in session since, Republican members of the US House of Representatives have been calling for immediate consideration of
HR 962, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
This bill would provide for proper medical treatment for babies who are born alive after a failed abortion attempt.
But Democrat leaders in Congress refuse to even consider it!!!
The back and forth has been captured on video. The media is of course ignoring this effort.
The videos are very instructive, giving viewers a glimpse into the parliamentary rules that govern Congress and, where this bill is concerned, give Democrats a perfect excuse not to even consider the merits of a bill that would provide life-saving medical care to a newborn baby.
Since the effort began, Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana; Rep. Ann Wagner of Missouri, the bill’s author; Rep. Mark Walker of North Carolina; Rep. Jackie Walorski of Indiana and Rep. Tom Cole of Indiana have asked that the bill be considered. Then whoever has been appointed the Democrat speaker of the day reads a carefully worded script that explains why the bill cannot be considered.
The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act does not restrict abortion in any way. It simply recognizes that when a child has been born, he or she deserves the same legal and compassionate protections as every other American.
As Rep. Scalise said in a separate floor speech:
“To many, this issue transcends abortion. This isn’t related to abortion anymore if a baby comes out of the womb and is alive. The fact that in only 26 states there are protections that that baby can’t be killed, that means that in nearly half the states in this country, that baby can still be killed legally. I still don’t completely grasp how that’s legal in America.”
Republicans will keep up this effort for 30 legislative days and then will file a discharge petition that would force a vote in the House if it is signed by 218 members. Democrats will either have to sign the petition or go on record opposing a bill that is only about saving babies born alive.
The Republican-controlled Senate expects to vote on the bill on Feb. 25.
I’m asking you to do three things.
- Watch the videos;
- Share the videos with everyone you know;
- Contact your House member, Republican or Democrat. Tell the Republicans you support their efforts. Tell the Democrats you expect to see their name on the discharge petition that will allow this bill to be brought to the House floor.

And please forward this email to everyone you know who may be interested in helping!
