Urge your Senators and Representatives to support Louisiana
in its Supreme Court case
December 4, 2019
In its first abortion case since Justice Kavanaugh was confirmed, the U.S. Supreme Court on March 4 will hear oral arguments in the case June Medical Services LLC vs. Gee.
This case pits an abortion business and its self-serving desire to continue making money against the state of Louisiana, which passed a law safeguarding women’s health by mandating that abortionists have hospital admitting privileges.
This case is about basic common sense: If a medical emergency occurs in an abortion facility, why should abortionists be permitted to just wash their hands of the situation, as many have done, and have another doctor clean up their mess? They should be accountable before a problem arises.
This week, 197 members of Congress – 36 senators and 162 House members – filed a “friend of the court” brief in support of the abortionists! House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led the effort and her Democrat minions followed blindly along.
But members of Congress who put women’s health above the profit margin of the abortion cartel also have a chance to sign on to a brief that supports Louisiana’s common-sense law, and that’s where I need your help.
Please get in touch with your member of Congress and your senators and urge them to sign on to this brief. Members of Congress can sign the brief in the office of House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, a Republican who represents part of New Orleans and its suburbs, and senators can sign in the office of Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy.
We need to act quickly because they only have until Dec. 17 to sign the petition!
The Supreme Court is being asked to rule not only on the constitutionality of the admitting privileges law, but to also decide if abortionists and abortion businesses have the standing to challenge abortion restrictions in the name of their patients.
Almost every law a state passes to protect women or the unborn is challenged by abortion sellers, Planned Parenthood being the most prominent. Of course the abortion industry would object to these laws because they will lose business! But the U.S. Constitution was not written to ensure that abortionists can make money. How the Court rules on this question will have far-reaching implications.
Ensuring that the Supreme Court justices know Louisiana’s efforts are supported by House members and senators is crucial, so please make those calls today.

And please forward this email to everyone you know who may be interested in helping.
