Priests for Life Nine Days of Prayer Begins Today for Midterm Elections
Dear Friends,
From now to Election Day, the final nine days of the Priests for Life National Campaign of Prayer in preparation for the elections takes place.
We began the nine-week phase of this Campaign on September 1, and now we are in the home stretch!
Please join and spread the word!
Never has prayer been more important in any election.
The choice this year is not just between one candidate and another, or between one party and another.
It is a choice between good and evil,
Between competence and incompetence,
Between a country that words and a country that fails,
And indeed between commonsense and insanity!
During the prayer campaign, we pray to save our nation.
We pray that in this year's elections, we will move closer to protecting our most vulnerable children, the unborn, by returning the House and Senate to the control of pro-life lawmakers, and ensuring pro-life dominance in state legislatures and governors’ mansions.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade is saving lives but we have to enact more protections and stop the pro-abortion forces from trying to impost abortion-on-demand.
We pray that our nation will embrace the moral values of a culture of life, and that America will reclaim her founding principles of faith and dependence upon God in public life.
We also will ask God to help believers reject apathy and take an active role in the elections by registering to vote and actually voting, and we will pray that candidates will understand their responsibility to serve the people, to protect life and family, and to adhere to the law of God.
This prayer effort is part of the overall prayer campaign that Priests for Life has been holding throughout the year. Along with the power of prayer itself, the Election Prayer for Life gets people thinking about the election and about what they can do to inform and mobilize other voters.
