Sign on to my letter to Nancy Pelosi
December 17, 2024
Dear Friends,
Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, one of the extreme abortion advocates in the Democrat party, wants Pope Francis to allow her to receive communion.
You might recall that in 2022, her bishop, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, barred her from the sacrament, citing her support for abortion.
You also might recall that in 2013, in basically the same breath, she called herself a proud, practicing Catholic and described abortion as “sacred ground.” I wrote an open letter to her at the time, asking her to drop her support for abortion or stop calling herself Catholic.
She has done neither. Instead of accepting Archbishop Cordileone’s offer to discuss the matter, she appealed to the leader of the Roman Catholic Church to ask him to allow her to violate Church teaching on abortion.
Her hubris knows no bounds!
That’s why I decided to write another open letter to her. In it, I ask her to find a way to be in communion with the babies in the womb for whose murder she so passionately advocates.
I wrote, in part: “In your public service, you have failed to serve the unborn, but instead advocate for the right to kill them, and work to expand that right under our nation’s laws.
“The Church to which you claim to belong does not recognize such a right. Rather, the Church teaches that whatsoever we do to the least of our brothers and sisters, we do to Jesus.
“You want to be in Communion with Jesus, but in rejecting the unborn, you reject Him.”
Will you help me ensure this message reaches her?
When you click this link, you’ll be taken to a page where you can sign on to the letter, let us know you are doing so, and urge others to do the same.
We are looking forward to the new Congress and what might be accomplished for the unborn. But unless Nancy Pelosi has a change of heart, she will fight every proposal designed to protect babies from abortion.
Let’s pray for her change of heart.
Thank you for being part of the Priests for Life Family, and please share this message with as many others as you can!
