Thank You For Trying to Save the Hyde Amendment

July 26, 2021

Dear Friend,

I thank God for people like you who are willing to join us in this effort to urge the U.S. House of Representatives to vote on H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. This act would make it permanent law that American taxpayers no longer have to foot the bill for abortion.

Please call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to the office of your representatives. You may deliver a message in your own words or use one of the messages below – one for Republican representatives and one for Democrats.

Below you will also see links to the videos of those Members who have already spoken up. If your Representative is one that has already spoken up, please thank him/her especially for that.

For Republicans

I am a voter who resides in ____ (City), _______ (State), and I am calling to thank my Representative for supporting H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. It is vitally important that this bill makes it to the House floor for a vote because, as you know, Democrats are hoping to push through a spending plan that does not contain protections for American taxpayers when it comes to funding abortion.

I will not pay to kill innocent children in the womb.

Thank you for your time.

For Democrats

I am a voter who resides in _________ (City), _____(State), and I am calling to urge my Representative to join the effort to bring H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, to the House floor for a vote. This bill is too important to American taxpayers to allow it to languish in committee. I am aware that the proposed spending plan for fiscal year 2022 does not contain the protections of the Hyde Amendment and this is not acceptable.

I will not pay to kill innocent children in the womb, and I intend to vote that way in 2022.

Thank you for your time.

Thank you for being an active member of our Priests for Life Family, and may God bless you.

We Need Your Prayers and Support!

In spite of the fact that I served on the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life and Pontifical Council for the Family, and that so many Church leaders and bishops – both here in the United States and around the world – wholeheartedly endorse our Priests for Life ministry, we receive no funds from any official Church entity ... neither from Rome nor here in the U.S.

Every penny we receive comes from individuals just like you … hard-working, dedicated pro-life champions.  Which means we can only do as much as your generosity allows us to do

Whatever financial help you can give today to support our work and keep Priests for Life the face and voice of America’s pro-life movement will be greatly appreciated.  And know that in appreciation for your support – both spiritually with your prayers and financially with your gifts – I remember you at every Mass I offer; as do all the priests of Priests for Life.  Thank you in advance and God bless.
