As a member of the Priests for Life Family, you are invited to join me along with Janet Morana and other pro-life groups for a lobbying day on Capitol Hill in Washington DC later in March.
This was one of our action items decided up at the meeting of national pro-life leaders held at the Priests for Life headquarters in Florida at the start of February.
The purpose of this lobbying day will be to call for the de-funding of abortion, Planned Parenthood, and the whole abortion industry.
At the meeting, we also signed a joint statement to that effect, which is being distributed to the individual members of the House and Senate.
Through this event, we want to convey to the lawmakers and to the public a strong consensus and unity among pro-life groups to end the flow of our taxpayer dollars to abortion and the abortion industry.
And we want to get hundreds of pro-life Americans to join us!

Can this be accomplished? Absolutely! It might not feel like it, because we’ve been calling for this for so many decades. But remember --- the law is on our side (because the Courts have said that the legality of abortion doesn’t require the state to fund it); public opinion is on our side (most people in America, even those who think abortion should be legal, don’t want to pay for it); the Trump Administration and Congress are on our side (President Trump has already taken executive action so de-fund abortion to the extent that he legally can, and we have pro-life majorities in the House and Senate); and with the DOGE effort, there is a climate now for slashing wasteful spending. Elon even wrote in the Wall Street Journal that Planned Parenthood funding could be a target of DOGE cuts.
So this is the moment to push harder than ever! Various de-funding bills are already introduced in Congress. Join us later in the month, in person, to tell members of Congress that this is what we want!
