On March 4, 2020, Priests for Life was honored to take part again in this year’s State Department International Women of Courage Awards. As first lady of the United States, Melania Trump said “I'm proud of what this country continues to do for women”. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the First Lady presented awards to twelve deserving women from around the world, including Susanna Liew (Malaysia), who after abduction of her husband, Christian pastor Raymond Koh, fought on behalf of members of religious minorities who disappeared in Malaysia under similar circumstances. On March 6, 2020 Priests for Life was at the Organization of American States (OAS) to support our application for inclusion in their Civil Society. The application was presented to the Committee on Inter-American Summits Management and Civil Society Participation in OAS activities. The application was reviewed and approved by the committee and will be voted on by the full General Assembly shortly. PFL has been an accredited and active organization with special consultative status at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations since 2003 and is very much looking forward to participating in the activities of the OAS and promoting life from conception to natural death.
