Father Denis Wilde, OSA, the associate director of Priests for Life, visited with the family of pro-life activist Mark Houck in their rural Pennsylvania home to celebrate Mass on Oct. 11.
On Sept. 23, the FBI sent dozens of heavily armed agents to the home, arresting Houck on charges related to a protest in front of a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood killing center a year ago. Houck’s wife, Ryan Marie, and seven children were home and watched as federal agents took Mark into custody in what his attorney has called “an obscene show of force.” Mark has pleaded not guilty to charges that he violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances law.
The family also had a visit this week from German Cardinal Gerhard Muller, prefect emeritus for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Father Denis is a family friend.
