S. 1836 - Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015
S. 1836, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015 is the Senate version of
H.R. 3134. It would place an immediate one-year moratorium on all federal
funding to the abortion business while Congress investigates it.
The funding moratorium would cover any and all federal sources of revenue
for Planned Parenthood including the Title X family planning program and
Medicaid. A Government Accountability Office study released in 2015 found
that Planned Parenthood received $1.2 billion from Medicaid over a

for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the
procurement of aborted babies’ organs and tissues and the fees involved for
purchasing those body parts.
