Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Elizabeth Cady Stanton worked alongside of Susan B Anthony in the fight for women’s suffrage, demanding the right for women to be able to cast a vote. Along with other feminists of the time she was very pro-life and knew that to be a true feminist you must oppose abortion. She was also a strong advocate against slavery and it was being denied the opportunity to speak publicly because of being a woman that sparked her activism for woman’s rights.

In her feminist paper she published with Anthony abortion was considered to be the bloody act of child murder. It was considered one of the root causes in women's oppression.
