TITUSVILLE, FL -- Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone issued the following statement today after the U.S. Supreme Court protected the pro-life law in Texas.

“The U.S. Supreme Court today came to the common-sense decision that the federal government has no right to force emergency rooms in Texas to become abortion businesses,” Pavone said.

“Regarding abortion policy, the Supreme Court in Dobbs took the position that state laws should be respected and given deference. Whenever those laws are pro-life, the Biden-Harris administration has no respect for them at all, and tries to make federal agencies into tyrannical arms of the abortion industry. It’s time for this to stop.

“Current law in Texas already allows for abortion when a mother’s health and life are in jeopardy. There is no need for the abortion extremists in the Biden-Harris administration to second guess these front-line professionals.

“Nor should voters elect abortion extremists.”
