Priests for Life and the National Pro-Life Religious Council will co-host the 30th annual National Prayer Service on Friday, Jan. 24 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
Held annually on the morning of the March for Life, the interdenominational service will
honor Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen for their efforts to defeat pro-abortion ballot amendments in their states. All three will receive the National Pro-Life Recognition Award. We await confirmation of their attendance.
Also honored will be all the pro-life citizens and activists in the 10 states that had abortion-related ballot amendments in 2024 (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, and South Dakota), those in Arkansas and Minnesota who were able to keep the issue off the ballot in the 2024 elections, and those who engaged such battles in recent years (Kansas, Kentucky, California, Michigan, Vermont, and Ohio).
Three winners of a pro-life essay contest sponsored by Priests for Life also will be introduced and honored during the service.
A Catholic Mass will start the day at 7:30 a.m.
