In the November elections, San Francisco voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition O, which declared the city to be a “safe and welcoming place” to patients seeking abortion.

At 8 a.m. on Jan. 25, the morning of the West Coast Walk for Life in San Francisco, Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone, with Bryan Kemper, street activism coordinator, will lead a prayerful protest outside Planned Parenthood at 1522 Bush St.

“We will declare that the most safe and welcoming place for an unborn child should be inside the womb of his or her mother,” Pavone said. “To violently dismember and discard a baby from the womb can hardly be described as ‘welcoming.’”

The rally outside Planned Parenthood has become a regular event on the occasion of the Walk for Life, now in its 21st year.

“Before we walk for life, we pray for those innocent children who lose their lives daily at Planned Parenthood,” Pavone said. “And we pray for the mothers who find themselves there and whose lives will be forever changed by undergoing an abortion. Join us as we pray to end abortion.”
