TITUSVILLE, FL -- Prolife Leader Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement today:
“On Thursday, in Chester, PA, a Red Rose Rescue took place at the Delaware County Women’s Center, where money is paid to starve babies in the womb. Conveniently called the “abortion pill,” it is nothing other than murder.
“In a Red Rose Rescue, peaceful and prayerful prolife activists enter the facility and lovingly offer information to those awaiting their abortion appointments. This information is meant to strengthen them to do what is right, and choose alternatives to abortion.
“Monica Migliorino Miller, Joan Andrews Bell, Will Goodman, Eric Holmberg, Patrice Woodworth and Christi Ann Collins engaged in this activity, and I want to express my personal thanks to them for doing so. They were arrested, even though they were completely peaceful. This is a reflection not on them, but on the corruption of our laws which currently protect murder in the form of abortion.
“I have engaged in similar activity in hospitals where I have gone to the areas where patients are awaiting their abortions, and counseled them to change their minds.
“I encourage prolife Americans who feel called to do more to end abortion to learn more about this activity and, under the guidance of experienced leaders, to engage in it.”
