TITUSVILLE, FL - Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone issued the following statement today in support of the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, introduced in the U.S. Senate this week by Republican Sen. Ashley Moody of Florida:

“The Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, which has been a pro-life priority for not only years but decades, is more needed today than ever, as states diverge more sharply than ever before in their abortion policies,” Pavone said. “Whether one is pro-life or pro-choice, we should all be able to agree to protect the well-being of minors and the rights of parents against the actions of those who would transport a minor across state lines to avoid parental involvement laws.

“I recently spoke to Sen. Moody in person in Florida about the bill and it was impressive to see how enthusiastic she is about it. I told her she has our full support, and I thank her and all our elected lawmakers who are supporting this bill.”
