TITUSVILLE, FL -- Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today thanked Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin for denying a license to Planned Parenthood in Louisville because of its failure to comply with state law.
“Gov. Bevin has taken a bold stance against the nation’s number one abortion business by denying this license,” Father Pavone said. “Planned Parenthood has made its own rules for too long. It is encouraging to pro-lifers across the country that Gov. Bevin refuses to allow its illegal practices to continue.”
The governor has also notified a federal judge that the judge has no jurisdiction in the state of Kentucky. U.S. District Court Judge Greg Stivers ordered the state to expedite its review of the Planned Parenthood situation, but Bevin has defied that order.
“Gov. Bevin is protecting the interests of his state, and of its most vulnerable citizens, the unborn,” Father Pavone said. “He is to be commended.”
Bevin’s actions come as Planned Parenthood is forced to pull out of the Title X program, which provides the abortion business $60 million annually in taxpayer funding, or notify the Trump administration that it is taking steps to separate its killing centers from its family planning facilities.
