TITUSVILLE, FL -- Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, has joined prominent conservative leaders in filing a formal ethics complaint against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for abusing our nation’s impeachment process by turning it into a political sham.

“President Trump’s unprecedented role as the most pro-life president is certainly the biggest motivator for the Democrat Party and the Left to want him out of office,” Father Pavone said. “But they do not have the right to abuse our political processes in an attempt to accomplish a goal they have worked toward since Election Day in 2016.”

In a letter to the Office of Congressional Ethics, the signatories say Pelosi has usurped the authority of the Executive Branch; “weaponized” the impeachment process, and claimed for herself powers that belong to the House of Representatives as a whole.

“Speaker Pelosi has, through multiple actions and false statements, abused her power as Speaker of the House of Representatives,” the letter states. “She has violated the Official Code of Conduct of the House of Representatives through a pattern of abuse of power, demonstrating that she is unfit to continue to serve as Speaker of the House.

“We respectfully request that the Office of Congressional Ethics immediately launch an inquiry into Speaker Pelosi’s misconduct.”

Father Pavone said “the American people understand that what Pelosi and the Democrats are doing is wrong. They cannot be allowed to get away with it.”
