TITUSVILLE, FL - Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today congratulated President Trump on the confirmation of his 200th nominee to the federal judiciary.
“With today’s confirmation of Cory Wilson for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, President Trump continues to make good on his campaign promise to replace activist judges who legislate from the bench with judges who understand and revere the Constitution of the United States and the intentions of our nation’s framers.
“On average, presidents have seen 176 confirmations for their nominees by this point in their terms, and President Trump has far exceeded that,” Father Pavone said. “When the president talks about ‘Promises Kept,’ this is one of many campaign vows he has fulfilled. And because federal judges are appointed for life, the impact of these nominations will be felt for decades.
“Voters are highly motivated by the fact that their vote for President and US Senate impacts the courts, and most of those motivated by the courts voted for President Trump in 2016. With this record-breaking accomplishment, we can be confident that even more will do so this year.
“Well done, Mr. President!”
Priests for Life (EndAbortion.US) is the world’s largest Catholic pro-life organization dedicated exclusively to ending abortion. Pro-life efforts are working. The abortion rate in America is the lowest it has been since Roe v. Wade and in recent years states have passed more than 400 laws to protect the unborn. The number of freestanding abortion clinics in the U.S. has dropped from 2179 in 1991 down to 710 today, and President Trump has placed 200 pro-life judges on the federal bench.
