Abortion-recovery counselors from around the globe are taking part this week in a virtual annual conference of the International Hope Alive Counselors Association.
Janet Morana, executive director of Priests for Life and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, is a certified Hope Alive counselor and a member and secretary of the Hope Alive board. She is attending the conference that began Sept. 2 and will conclude with a board meeting on Sept. 5.
Counselors from the U.S. joined those from China, the Philippines, Dubai, Nigeria, France, Belgium, England, Canada and New Zealand to discuss the groups they lead to help women, men and families recover from the loss of a child to abortion, and to help victims of child abuse and neglect.
Dr. Philip Ney and Dr. Marie Peeters-Ney, founders of Hope Alive, led the conference from the program’s headquarters at Mount Joy College in British Columbia, Canada.
Priests for Life hosted the international conference in 2018 at its office in Titusville, Florida.
