ATLANTA -  Evangelist Alveda King, Pastoral Associate for Priests for Life and Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, and film star Stacey Dash appear on screen in the film “Roe v. Wade,” which highlights the work of Harvard-trained African American pro-life activist Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson.

Ms. Dash plays a leading role as Jefferson, the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School. Dr. King, who is also an executive producer of the film, plays her mother, Guthrie Jefferson.

“I am proud that the story of unsung hero Dr. Mildred Faye Jefferson is finally being told,” Dr. King said. “Stacey’s performance does honor to Dr. Jefferson’s legacy, which is rarely celebrated by women’s groups or African-American groups.” .

Dianne Rogers of Brimstone Services noted, “The film premiered earlier this month during the peak of Women’s History Month. Our little girls need to hear more about Dr. Jefferson.”
