TITUSVILLE, FL – “This trigger law would enact the protection of unborn babies in Oklahoma if the Supreme Court decides any day now to totally or even partially reverse Roe v. Wade, that has destroyed the lives of 63 million babies and their families,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life in response to the Oklahoma State Legislature passing its second significant piece of pro-life legislation this session.

The bill is heading to the Governor’s desk and Gov. Kevin Stitt is anticipated to sign the bill, having promised to pass all pro-life legislation that comes across his desk.

“Various other states have these ‘trigger laws,’ and they express the will of the people to protect the unborn. It is essential that states push back on the effort of courts to limit their ability to protect their children, and Oklahoma has done just that,” Father Pavone continued. “This new law will save thousands of lives in Oklahoma and serves as a blueprint for what we would like to ultimately see in all fifty states and worldwide.”
