TITUSVILLE, FL – “Abortionists may soon have to provide life-saving information regarding the option to reverse the procedure to their clients who have sought chemical abortions,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, in response to abortion reversal disclosure legislation passing the South Carolina State House of Representatives this week.
The bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 71-29. The Senate version of the bill is awaiting debate.
“Two of our Priests for Life medical advisors, Dr. George Delgato and Dr. Matthew Harrison, have been pioneers in this reversal method,” Father Pavone continued. “Hundreds of doctors have safely reversed abortions, and hundreds of lives have been saved. The wording in the legislation required to pass the bill does not override the medical judgment of any physician; rather, it refers the mother to her physician.
“Rejection of this bill is politically motivated by big abortion who loses business every time one of these reversals occurs. I challenge those who oppose this bill to explain their objections to the moms and dads whose healthy and thriving babies were saved precisely through this reversal process.”
