TITUSVILLE, FL – “Fueled by fears the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade, New Hampshire Democrats reacted by attempting to enshrine abortion into a state constitutional amendment and state statute, and their efforts were successfully firewalled by opposition,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life.

Last year, Republican Gov. Chris Sununu signed legislation that would outlaw abortion after 24 weeks of gestation. The law went into effect on Jan. 1 of this year. Abortion activists in New Hampshire are nervous that there may be more laws restricting abortion coming down the pipeline, hence their desperation to codify abortion now.

“New Hampshire already allows the killing of children by abortion later into pregnancy than just about every nation in the world (except a handful, including China and North Korea),” Father Pavone continued.

“The people of New Hampshire are better than this, and public opinion consistently shows that people want the law to protect children who can survive outside the womb. God bless the Republicans of New Hampshire who have stepped up to prevent a bad law from becoming even worse.”
