Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, and Pastoral Director of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, and Father Denis Wilde, O.S.A., Associate Director of Priests for Life, will be part of the Pennsylvania March for Life today.
Georgette Forney, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, will join Father Pavone as members of the Campaign share their testimonies during the event at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
“With the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the return of abortion regulation to the states, statewide pro-life rallies are more important than ever before,” Father Pavone said. “The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is critical to the elections. Not only is there a race for the U.S. Senate but the governor’s race is a key factor in whether or not the unborn will gain any protections in the state.
“I urge every pro-life Pennsylvanian to join me at today’s March for Life.”
A Mass for Life will take place at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the march will begin at 11 a.m. outside the Capitol, with a rally featuring several speakers, including Archbishop Nelson Perez of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The march will begin at noon, and Silent No More members will share their abortion experiences at 1 p.m. on the steps of the Capitol building.
“I am so proud of the Silent No More women who courageously share their abortion testimony,” said Mrs. Forney, who also is the president of Anglicans for Life. “Our motivation for talking about our children’s death by abortion is to warn those considering abortion of all the ways it negatively changes you. We also want to offer those who are experiencing regret to know that healing is available.”
Father Wilde, a longtime Pennsylvania resident, said attending the March for Life is important because “abortion isn’t just about the babies. It’s about our nation, and our future.”
