As Respect Life Month moves into its second week, Priests for Life has reminded clergy and parish lay leaders that it has resources available to help deepen the focus on the unborn and the sanctity of all human life.
Preaching materials are available at ProLifePreaching.com and special prayers can be found at ProLifePrayers.com.
ProLife.Church has a list of pro-life projects that parishes can undertake.
Other ways that parishes can observe the month include:
- Inviting a speaker who can share his or her experience of losing a child to abortion and finding healing afterwards. Alternatively, you can use the testimonies we already have online in text, audio, and video format at SilentNoMore.com.
- Using our pro-life homily hints, bulletin inserts and prayers of the faithful found at ProLifeLiturgy.com.
- Stocking a parish book rack with powerful pro-life brochures and books. Check out ProLifeProducts.org.
- Inviting one of our priests or pastoral team to preach or speak at your parish. See our bios at SpeakerRequest.com.
“As people of faith, we respect life every month,” said Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “But this focus during the month of October is important because it is always followed by an election in November, and we need every pro-lifer mobilized this year. Lives depend on it!”
