Media advisory: Pro-Life Leader Frank Pavone to deliver message at National Prayer Service

Priests for Life and the National Pro-Life Religious Council will co-host the 28^th annual National Prayer Service on Friday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

Held annually on the morning of the March for Life, the interdenominational service will pay tribute to the pioneers of the pregnancy help movement. This is particularly appropriate given the attacks launched against the pregnancy centers, physically and legally, since the Dobbs decision.

The honorees include:

• Margaret (Peggy) Hartshorn, chairman of the board of Heartbeat International.
• Denise Cocciolone, founder and president of the National Life Center.
• Thomas Glessner, founder and president of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates.
• Christopher Bell, founder and president of Good Counsel Homes.
• Joan Andrews Bell, a pioneer in pro-life activism who also is involved in Good Counsel Homes.
• Christopher Slattery, founder and president of Expectant Mother Care – EMC Frontline Pregnancy Centers in New York City.
• Roland Warren, president and CEO of Care Net.
• International Life Services, founded by the late Sr. Paul Vandegaer, and Birthright also will be recognized.

Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone will give the keynote address. Christian recording artist Mike Donehey will perform. A Catholic Mass will start the day at 7:30 a.m. Life Issues Institute and the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates are co-sponsoring the event.
