TITUSVILLE, FL - Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone today urged members of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to block two pro-abortion activists from being confirmed for the federal bench. Votes on their nominations are expected Thursday.
Julie Rikelman, who has been nominated for the First Circuit Court of Appeals, is the attorney who represented abortion providers and unsuccessfully argued the Dobbs case before the U.S. Supreme Court, asserting that abortion is “critical to women’s equal participation in society.” Until recently, she was a senior litigator at the Center for Reproductive Rights, a radical organization that opposes abortion restrictions across the country.
Nancy Abudu has been nominated for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is the strategic litigation director for the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that attempts to tarnish conservative, pro-life and pro-family groups as “hate groups.”
“These Biden appointees should not be adjudicating parking tickets, much less sitting on a federal appeals court,” Pavone said. “They are advocates for radical causes and cannot be trusted to be fair and impartial."
