TITUSVILLE, FL - Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone today gave his support to a bill introduced in the Florida Legislature that would protect babies in the womb when a heartbeat can be detected, at about six weeks.
Of course, the heart begins beating much earlier than it can be detected, namely at 21 days.
“I applaud the Florida Republican party, particularly Sen. Erin Grall, R-Vero Beach, and Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka, R-Fort Myers, for recognizing that life in the womb deserves our protection,” Pavone said. “This bill will save thousands of infant lives and protect our state from being an abortion destination.
“I look forward to being in attendance when Gov. Ron DeSantis signs this important legislation.”
