April is Abortion Recovery Awareness Month, when pro-life and healing ministries across the country highlight the fact that though abortion wounds women, men and families, healing is available.
The largest program in the world offering healing after abortion is Rachel’s Vineyard, a ministry of Priests for Life. Rachel’s Vineyard offers weekend retreats, as well as individual follow-up.
Since its founding in 1994 by Dr. Theresa Karminski Burke and Kevin Burke, the program has grown to offer more than 1,000 retreats annually across 49 states and 70 countries.
Closely related to it is the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, a joint project co-founded by Priests for Life Executive Director Janet Morana and Anglicans for Life President Georgette Forney. This ministry enables those who have experienced abortion and found healing to share their stories publicly.
Reporters preparing stories about Abortion Recovery Awareness Month are encouraged to contact Leslie Palma at 917-697-7039 or email@example.com. Interviews may be arranged with Kevin and Theresa Burke, as well as Mrs. Morana and Mrs. Forney.
To localize a story, contact Ms. Palma to help find Rachel’s Vineyard team leaders and Silent No More members across the country.
“Our aim is to make April as well-known as Abortion Recovery Awareness Month as October is for breast cancer awareness,” Mrs. Morana said. “Abortion annually impacts even more women and men than breast cancer and we want everyone who is suffering in silence to know that healing is available.”
Special programming on abortion healing will be available on Priests for Life’s streaming channels. Check EndAbortion.TV for schedules.
