TITUSVILLE, FL – “The sun shines brighter on unborn children in the Sunshine State today as the Florida Senate has passed The Heartbeat Protection Act, which holds that these children may not be killed once their heartbeat is detected, after six weeks gestation,” said Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone. “At that point, which is four weeks from fertilization, the baby’s heart has already beat over 1.1 million times!”
Pavone thanked Sen. Erin Grall, who introduced the legislation.
“She is a long-time ally in this cause,” he said, also thanking “all her colleagues who voted for this. Now it proceeds to the House to pass, and then to the Governor’s desk.”
