"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to come to the aid of orphans and widows in their hardships..."(James 1:27).
Reflection: When Roe vs. Wade permitted abortion, it said, "The word person as used in the 14th Amendment does not include the unborn." It was a statement of exclusion and intolerance, of prejudice and marginalization. We, in contrast, have our arms open wider, to expand the circle of welcome into the human family. Pro-life people are the more tolerant ones.
Prayer: Lord, break down the walls of prejudice that would exclude anyone from our protection and love. Amen.
