Chuck Colson
Charles W. “Chuck” Colson was a born-again Christian who pleaded guilty to Watergate-related charges in 1974 and emerged from his prison sentence with a commitment to ministering to prisoners. His personal experience in the prison system fueled his passion for ministry visits to prisons and the founding of the Justice Fellowship in 1983 to influence criminal justice reform. Colson authored over 30 books, but perhaps his most significant writing was the Manhattan Declaration, a call to Christians to defend the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and religious freedom.[1]
