Dr. Bernard Nathanson
Dr. Bernard Nathanson

Dr. Bernard Nathanson was an obstetrician/gynecologist who initially championed abortion rights but, after seeing a real time abortion on ultrasound in the 1970s, devoted the rest of his life to advancing the pro-life cause.  Sadly, Dr. Nathanson was a co-founder of NARAL and served New York City as the first director of the Center for Reproductive and Sexual Health.  Because of his anti-life advocacy, he was a contributing force to the national legalization of abortion by way of Roe v. Wade.  After Dr. Nathanson realized the serious evil of abortion, he collaborated with the National Right to Life Committee to direct and narrate The Silent Scream, a film documenting the horror of abortion.[1]
