Bishop George Lynch
Bishop George Lynch

March 4, 1917 – May 25, 2003[1]

Bishop Lynch was involved with Operation Rescue and was arrested up to 21 times for his pro-life activism during his retirement.[2]  A native New Yorker, Bishop Lynch was sent to North Carolina as a bishop, and his work to spread the faith in North Carolina also coincided with his fight for civil rights.  Notably, his most significant contribution to civil rights was his persistent defense of the unborn, bearing witness at abortion clinics throughout the world and often suffering cruelty and harsh prison conditions.[3]
