General Election voter registration deadline – October 9, 2018

General Election date – November 6, 2018

Early voting –

In person –  Early in-person voting is limited.  Only those eligible for absentee voting by mail (see below) are eligible to vote early in person at their city or township clerk’s office.  Voters may bring their absentee ballots to the local clerk’s office by the close of polls on Election Day.

By mail –  Early voting by mail is permitted only if you are: age 60 years old  or older; unable to vote without assistance at the polls; expecting to be out of town on election day; in jail awaiting arraignment or trial; unable to attend the polls due to religious reasons; or appointed to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of your precinct of residence.

Requests for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be received no later than 2:00 PM on the Saturday before the election.  Absentee ballots must be received by the close of polls on Election Day.
