State election website –

Early voting –

            In person –

A voter who qualifies for an absentee ballot (see “By mail” below) may apply for and vote his absentee ballot in person once absentee ballots are ready (usually 30 days before an election) up until the day before the election.

By mail –

In order to vote early by mail, a voter must meet one of several criteria.  Among the acceptable reasons for voting absentee are:the voter is 65 or older; the voter has a physical disability; the voter will be on vacation on Election Day; the voter is a member of the armed forces and/or lives overseas; and the voter will not be able to vote “for reasons of employment.”

Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may be made at any time during the year, but must be received by the county registration office no later than the Friday before the election.  Ballots must be returned by the close of the polls on Election Day.
