Vermont will elect a Governor and a U.S. Senator in 2018.

General Election voter registration deadline – As of 2017, potential voters may register on any day up to and including Election Day.

In person –  

Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse required. 

Early in-person voting at the voter’s local Town Clerk’s office runs from September 21 through November 5, 2018 for the General Election. 

If the voter is sick or disabled, he may call his Town Clerk up until the day before the election and two officials will bring a ballot to his home on Election Day and then return the marked ballot for him.

By mail –  

Any voter may vote early by mail, no excuse required.  Absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may be requested any time up to and including the day before an election.  Voted ballots must be received by the Town Clerk no later than Election Day to be counted.
